World of Warcraft configurations are both kept locally and on the server, in order to fully reset all the configs on WoW the Cvars need to be reset so when the client retrieves the information from the server, so the changes aren’t reset.
In most cases deleting the WTF folder will reset most of the configurations on WoW, however sometimes that might no be enough.
The folder to delete is usually by default at the path below, but can change depending on version or future updates:
\World of Warcraft_retail_\WTF
In order to fully reset all WoW configs log into the game and run the following command:
/console cvar_default
This command will reset all the variables kept on the server, make sure that is the intention before deleting, as this action cannot be undone.
